And it is yet another drone performance, this time a solo performance with the Clavia Nord Modular G1 (supported by the Akai MIDIMix, for some extra control)!
And you can listen to it all here!
This time, I came up with a the following patch for the Clavia Nord Modular G1:
As you can see from the picture, the upper part of this patch is "kinda" similar to the one used in the previous Synth-ing Nº34, with Formant Oscillators rather than Spectral Oscillators as the sound source!
But afterwards, you'll find some extra processing available for each of the oscillators, including a multimode filter (with FM) and a feedback line featuring a digitizer and a simple lowpass filter!
Despite this isn't a serious amount of processing, and there is no reverb or other time based effects (which you can't really do on the Clavia Nord Modular G1, due to the low amount of RAM available...), it is possible to get really amazing sounds, as I hope I could show in my performance!
Like always, if you enjoyed it, as I hope you did, be sure to follow my blog, as more performances are coming up in the near future! ;)
From a synth lover to synth lovers. In this blog I'll try to share my personal experiences with my synths and other electronic music equipment, from personal opinions about some of the equipment I have to more technical posts, as well as some performances in the middle. If you love synths as well, make sure to tune in!
