Since it has been quite a while since my last post showing you some photos of the insides of a synth, I thought it was a good time to post another one, this time about an amazing analog polysynth, the Kawai SX240!

Balance Mastering just made available their first plugin, and you can download it for free!

It is a reverb plugin based which makes use of their most popular impulse response (IR) set, taken from the former NSA compound, Teufelsberg, in Berlin.

I don't own one or have tried one just yet, but it definitely seems an interesting machine for those of us who really love analog synths and don't want / can't spend too much on a synth!

A tip from a friend... A site full of Synth ROMs!

Some times, when a ROM on your synths go bad, you'll need to replace it with a new one, or just get a new one for a more updated version of the OS!

If you checked my previous post in this series, I got rid of my Korg Electribe 2 and Roland MC-09 last weekend...

While I don’t really regret getting rid of them, as they were not the machines I needed in my setup, I still feel they are pretty good machines!

Akai Heardrush E2, an interesting tape echo emulator in pedal form!

Most of you have probably heard and loved the way tape echoes sound.
The echoing sound produced by those old units is definitely full of character and just sounds good!
So good in fact that several companies tried to emulate them with digital technology!
