New company with a new product seeking inspiration in an amazing vintage synthesizer, the amazing Oberheim OB-X!
If done right it should sound amazing, right?
From this demo available in youtube since yesterday, it seems they did it right as it sounds pretty amazing!
Listening to what the creator of this synth said, the audio path seems to be purely based on the Oberheim OB-X, just the envelopes are DSP modulations inspired by the original circuits!
And other than standing out with an amazing sound, they also decided to go for a really exotic design for the interface, quite different from everything else that is available!
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of their colourful design, and considering the expected price tag is of around 3500$, I would say a simple interface would have likely be preferable, as I'd expect that could have reduced the price considerably.
But they definitely get my praise for daring and coming up with something different!
If you want to know more, this is their website, and you can put your name in the waiting list!

They seem really professional and passionate about their creation, which is really great!
A company to follow, it seems!
From a synth lover to synth lovers. In this blog I'll try to share my personal experiences with my synths and other electronic music equipment, from personal opinions about some of the equipment I have to more technical posts, as well as some performances in the middle. If you love synths as well, make sure to tune in!
