For starters, some good synth porn! The legendary Axcel Technos!

Before I get a “real” synth post ready for you, I thought it would be nice to post some photos of an extremely rare machine, the Axcel Technos!

Main unit

For those who don’t know this machine, be sure to check out youtube, cause there are quite some amazing videos of it available in there!

But in short, this is a machine in the league of the more known Fairlight CMI and NED Synclavier, capable of doing amazing things using resynthesis.

Unfortunately this isn’t mine, so I can’t really tell that much about it...

To be honest, I’m not even sure it is working, as the machine was in storage for quite a while and I only had the chance to have a look at it when I got a Digidesign Digi 002 from the Norges Musikkhøgskole in Oslo, so I couldn't really try it (despite I really really wanted to!).

They also had other amazing synths in storage in there, but this was to me the highlight of their collection! 

I haven't visited the place since, so I'm not sure what happened to this amazing monster, but from what the guy that showed it to me told me, the plan was to set a nice room dedicated to vintage synths.

If that plan went ahead, I'm sure quite some people in Oslo are having a great time in that room ;)
