Some time ago, when I was putting my Elektron SIDstation back in the stand, a stupid accident happened with it...
Immediately I noticed there was something wrong, as I could notice something moving inside of it!
I knew I had to open it to check it and ended up taking the photos I present to you in this post!

Fortunately, it turned out that the only thing I had to do was to put one of the chips back in its slot.
Turning it on again after that showed that the machine was working without any problem!
This incident still left a small bruise in one of the knob caps (fortunately nothing serious), but you can imagine how relieved I was when everything was sorted and the machine was back to work!
It is a different synth from all the others they produced so far as it doesn't feature a sequencer and it is actually based in the old SID-chip used in the Commodore 64 (which they actually emulate in the MonoMachine).
It is a very nice digital sounding synth with 3 oscillators and 1 multimode filter, which allows for pretty complex sounds to be made (it has more parameters to be edited than the number of CCs available, for instance).
It is definitely one of those synths that deserves a proper review, which I intend to do later on.
Still, it felt these photos would be a nice appetiser for now ;)
